Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to Attend US RIO+2.0 Conference in California, USA, 2 - 4 February 2012

Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will be attending the US Rio+2.0 Conference to be held from 2-4 February 2012 in Palo Alto, California, United States of America.

The US Rio+2.0 Conference is organised by the US State Department’s Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs as part of the preparatory process for the upcoming United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, also known as the Rio+20, to be held in June 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The US Rio+2.0 conference will bring together international policymakers as well as private sector practitioners and innovators, to explore how communication technologies can help advance wide ranging, cross-cutting solutions in the context of global sustainable development.
